Teddy jump for charity

Teddy bears will be jumping for joy at a picnic and parachute jump event organised by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

Witness appeal – Criminal damage

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information regarding an incident of criminal damage in Salisbury.

At approximately 11:50 pm on Sunday 22nd July 2012, a man smashed the porch window of a property in Wilton Road. He was believed to be with two other young men and a young woman.

The suspect is described as white, 15-18 years old with blonde wavy hair. He was wearing a blue and white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The young woman is described as having long brown hair in a pony tail.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who has information regarding those responsible should contact PC James Isaac at Salisbury Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 where details may be left anonymously if preferred.

Man sufers head injury in aggravated burglary

Detective Constable Sarah Chaplin is appealing for information following an incident which occurred at a property in Glynebourne Close, Salisbury.

At approximately 8:10 pm last night (Thursday 2nd August 2012) three men broke into a flat and assaulted the resident. The 54 year old male victim, was hit on the head with a weapon and punched to his face.

The men searched the flat and took the victim’s wallet containing an amount of cash and left.

Police were called and the victim received hospital treatment for his injuries.

The three suspects were all described as white, wearing dark clothing and had balaclavas. They were around 5’6-5’8 tall, of slim build and aged around 16-18 years.

They ran to a white saloon car that was parked in Gainsborough Close opposite Old Dairy Close. The use of a car could mean that they are older than they look.

DC Chaplin said: ‘We need to identify the three men responsible for this attack and would like to speak to anyone who has information. Did you see three young men of similar description in the area during the evening of Thursday 2nd August 2012? Have you heard about what happened? – if so please get in contact.’

Bank card fraud

PC Jem Horner of the Salisbury Priority Crime Team is investigating an incident of fraud.

At some point between 1:15 and 2:10 pm on Tuesday 17th July 2012, a 63 year old lady from Tisbury had her purse stolen whilst she was in Salisbury City Centre.

It is believed that the incident may have occurred whilst she was on her way to Pizza Express on Blue Boar Row.

It was later discovered that the victim’s bank cards had been used several times that afternoon in Salisbury and Southampton to withdraw cash. Attempts were also made to make purchases in Carphone Warehouse and Clarkes in Southampton.

CCTV images of two women officers would like to speak to in connection with the offence are attached.
