Outrage at car park charges

North Wiltshire District council has sparked outrage amongst shoppers and traders in Wootton Bassett by abolishing free 2-hr parking in its main town centre car park. We hope the new Conservative leadership will see sense and abolish this latest local tax, which was imposed by the previous Liberal Democrat administration.

Ceri’s Cheeses wins new business competition

The only cheese maker in North Wiltshire interrupted her honeymoon to hear she had won an annual New Business competition. Ceri Collingbourn, from Brinkworth, who is the fifth generation of her family to make cheese, won £3,000 from North Wiltshire District Council.
